This guide will help you learn how private and public universes work, and creating student accounts.
Pro Tip: At any time, you can hover your mouse over the icon for more detailed information on each field. Clicking the icon will take you to the appropriate section on the User's Guide.
Private Universes
First, in order for you or your students to create student accounts to access your universe, it must be set to private. Private universes are only accessible by those who sign-up with the group access code or have been added by the administrator.
Group Access Code
When you first create your universe, it should've generated a random code for your students to sign-up with. You may change this to whatever you want.
Creating Student Accounts
To sign-up for your private universe, have you or your students access your universe's URL, and click on "Create an account". From there, you can create a student account. Make sure that you or your students fill out the correct group access code into the "Secret Code" box.
After your accounts are created, you can manage your users in the "Users" section. You can view statistics, revoke users, or reset their password.
Public Universes
If you wish to simply share a URL without creating student accounts, you can make your universe public. Keep in mind that anyone on TypeRacer that has the URL to your universe can access and play. You can switch between public and private access in the settings area for your universe.
